Top Gear Cheap Supercars
Question about “insurance risks?”?
Watching a Top Gear episode, the guys bought old Italian supercars for cheap and wanted to find out how much the insurance was… one of the quotes from James was “Journalists and Broadcasters have some of the highest rated insurance risks on the book”. What does this mean exactly?? Because they are …famous they can get their car stolen easier? I don’t understand…Thanks in advance!
Risk factors have an effect on rates. It goes up if you’re inexperienced, regardless of age, under 25, where you park at night, driving record, and many other things. One of those things is your occupation.
A pilot flying experimental planes is a bigger risk than a bookkeeper. Also a journalist, who is going to speed to get to the story, is a higher risk.
