10 Fastest Cars In The World
10 Fastest Cars In The World
I was heading to the beach this morning for a nice jog with a friend when I heard this thundering sound behind me, I actually looked up to see if it was going to rain. When out of nowhere, a Lamborghini and Ferrari raced right by me on the freeway. It was 5:00am so the freeway was empty; I was going about 70mph, if my calculations are correct….. “add the 1, carry the 4, subtract by 2, divide by 3″…. They must have been going at least 120 – 130 miles per hour. These fancy sports cars were a blur, one second they were there and the other they were gone. Something in me wanted to grip the wheel tight and catch up to them but considering my Toyota Prius does 0 to 60 in 10.7 seconds, I recognized that it wasn’t a good idea. Although extremely dangerous and not recommended, it must feel great to just “let it go” on an open road. At Sun Agency, we insure our fair amount of exotic sports cars but which one is the fastest car out there? Without giving out personal information and according to a list of the fastest cars in the world, we can say that we insure one of the fastest 10 cars in the world.
From the fastest car in the world, the Bugatti Veyron to a Toyota Prius, we can insure anybody and everybody. Check out the 10 fastest cars ranked by 0-60 times below. I know that it’s highly unlikely to see these cars on a day to day basis so I also added a list of cars that we do see every day and you can see at your local dealership.
#1 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport 0-60 Time: 2.39 seconds
Here is the car that answers questions like, “Which is the fastest car in the world?” The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport car is built in France but German designed and engineered by Volkswagen. Priced at approximately 2.5 million dollars, if you can afford this sport car then buying car insurance for it shouldn’t be a problem. Neither should be the $25,000 tires. At least 300 of these cars have been sold since 2005. You will never get beaten off the line with this fast car in the world!
#2 Ariel Atom 500 0-60 Time: 2.51 seconds
Based in England but manufactured in the United States as well, the Ariel Atom is a bare bones car in appearance. There is no roof or windows and the chassis is visually apparent to onlookers. With top speeds of up to 150mph and a low weight that makes it corner seamlessly, this sports car has a base price starting at less than $50,000 and can be recognized as a faster car in the world. Being that it is manufactured in the United States, it could most likely be classified as the fastest car in the US.
#3 Caparo T1 0-60 Time: 2.53 seconds
The British made Caparo T1 is definitely a car you can imagine James Bond driving. The two seater sports car looks similar to a Formula One and is intended to be a racing car that can be legally driven on the streets. You better insure this half a million dollar car before hitting the road with it.
#4 Orca SC7 0-60 Time: 2.64 seconds
