I am about to join a kart club and was wondering if its possible to progress into formula fords when……>>
I dont want to buy one, but is it possible to drive one for a team? if soo how could I get picked? would a formula ford selector/owner come to a kart race meeting and look for talented drivers? I am an apprentice from brisbane and my ultimate dream is v8 supercars.
Yes, it is definitly difficult to get a sponsored drive in a series like Formula Ford but not impossible. Here in NZ there are 4 2 car teams with sponsored drivers in them. If you have the talent and some good backing behind you as well as a Dad or someone else that can act as a manager to talk to the bigger teams then you will be home and hosed.
It takes time and a lot of determination but at least give it a shot.
